It goes fast forward

The ship is now ready to install its new two deckhouses.

The two deck houses were really nice and the quality is great on top, as usual, it is a pleasure to see the beautiful work.

As can be seen in the pictures is still a little messy, it is because we work to recover scratched the bottom and subsequent kalfatteres. Work is also in the machinery, will the cabin and into- and without outboard paint. It is too cold to paint, but we are ready to paint as soon as possible.

A perhaps biggest change is that we walk and thinking of changing the green color from gray, marine conservation fund has in the restoration plan, the color gray as a favorite, we have not taken the final decision yet.

Agterlukafet has become very different from previous, there are now two downturns, and there is more headroom. There are still two berths available. Navigation should now be seated but gængæld become a major chart table so that there can be a completely unfolded charts.

The engine room is about to be brought back to last year's state, However, there is a new decrease of the machinery, which gives a little trouble getting around down there, but work is underway to find an optimal solution then it also becomes quite ok.

It is a pleasure to see it anegesemnet all down for the day, and of course there is also room for you if you come by Sunday mornings between 09.30-13.00 on Strandby Shipyard.

Press Lars and Jesper Hedegaaard passes Saturday 12. March to show us how we beat deck so it is convenient to rain and seawater. We plan to hold a full working day so that our friends from near and far have the opportunity to help, there comes a mail otherwise look at our foreningskalender here will more information be available on the date, Having further details.

Last working day of 2010

Then last working on the ship over.

Benny, Walther, Villy, Laurits, Louis, Asgar and Steffan braved the cold weather.

The day starts as usual with a little fun, in the shipyard canteen gets all who turn up a little coffee, French bread and a small one to the neck just as the complete playing it all started.

Today's task was to get fitted the two stainless steel tanks in the SB and BB have been taken out because there was added a new deck beams on top of maskinruffet, old was sadly rotted away at the ends.

Villy, Benny and Steffan are working hard to get them right into place again, is extremely small space and here we're talking about more scholarship, and so are all the connectors and tube removed, but in place they came. Som det kan ses på de indsatte billeder så er der indsat to nye dækskarme til de to nye dækshuse.

Besides getting the tanks in place would I (Laurits) se på El-installations muligheder i det nye agterlukaf, one is to plan the layout of a room is a different reality and it was like going on a space. I know not what they used the aft compartment in former times, for there is indeed no place in space, there is no ståhøde and hardly sitting height, I think that space has been used to living sails etc..

Our original plan with a stuerum from the deck, we shelve and then use the space to decrease to navigation.

Another task of the day was to disconnect the bottom stone in lønningne so we can move to strike all around support so that we avoid councils in the tree.

It turns out to be a bigger task than first anticipated, it is very difficult to udskrue screws which are filled with putty, we agreed to assemble again be done in a slightly different way.

Here is a picture of Villy working with a recalcitrant tube into the tire to be removed, there is not much room but it helped when we found a large angle grinder, then came the free.
